In this episode of Equality 365 he reveals what drives his passion for defending democracy. Dave explains why we currently are enduring a crises of collective memory and he explains how he sees the historical patterns of disinformation playing out in todays digital age.

Dave gives great advice on how to mitigate potential threats to democracy such as coming up with a sales pitch of what a compelling democratic future actually looks like and we talked about the importance to invite people into that and help people to co-create.

He also said: »With the right kind of leadership you can bring people together and create momentum. There was a great deal of energy around the Barack Obama candidacy - people were excited and that kind of leadership style where people can get motivated to all be brought together around common goals, is what we need.«
